24 March 1945, en route to Berlin, B-17's of the 483rd Bomb Group, 15th Air Force, come under attack by Me163s and Me262s.

In the background, P-51's of the 332nd Fighter Group (The Tuskeegee Airmen) arrive in time to drive the Komets off before they are able to inflict fatal damage to the B-17's.

Although some hits were scored by the 163's, none of the B-17's were lost to this new wonder weapon on this day.

Published for the Military Art Gallery, USA.

Signed by JG-400 Commander, Rudolph Opitz, who participated in the Me163 programme at Peenemunde
