The final air strike of Gulf War I was undertaken on 27 Feb 2002 by a Buccaneer deployed to Muharraq, Bahrain.


Using laser-guided bombs, Wing Commander Bill Cope and Flight Lieutenant Carl Wilson struck at Shayka Mazhar AB south of Baghdad, destroying an Iraqi AN-12 Cub transport aircraft in the face of heavy AAA.
